Asia Album: Beautiful handmade carpets in Afghanistan

KABUL, May 8 (Xinhua) -- Afghan handmade carpets, popular for their quality and craftsmanship, are an important export earner in the country.

Afghanistan has exported carpets worth more than 15 million U.S. dollars over the past year, Spokesman for the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Akhundzada Abdul Salam Jawad, said.
