KABUL, May 4 (Xinhua) -- The Afghan Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs will help Afghan jobseekers to be employed in Arab states, local online news agency Wadsam reported on Tuesday.
Under an initiative taken by the ministry, around 100,000 Afghans will find jobs in Saudi Arabia and around 10,000 Afghans will be employed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) within months after processing of their documents, according to Wadsam.
The long-lasting insurgency and economic crisis have forced millions of Afghans to search for jobs in neighbors - Iran and Pakistan - as well as other countries.
The latest efforts came as poverty and rising unemployment have spread across Afghanistan with the prolonged conflicts and fighting as well as drought adding to the miseries of the war-weary people in the country.
